I told you a few weeks ago (I think), I'd been reviewing and typing a couple of exercises from the ones requested here. Well...I've finally finished, and trust me, though the stories are way shorter than I would've wanted to make them, writing is a hazle for me these days. Anyways, since these are writing exercises, I'm posting them at writerworkshop a community I opened eons ago, and which milosflaca and I thought about reusing for these purposes a while ago. Here are two of the requests, Popslash (Howie and Chris) for milosflaca and CCS (Tomoyo) for undertheice. I won't ask anyone to be gentle, and since these aren't the first things I write, I won't even dare. I am asking from whoever goes there and read, keep in mind these are writing exercises for a mind who was brought into the right path, but is dying to go back into her prior insane state and who's yearning to write again. If you have to ask that I rewrite the whole thing or do it over, just say so. After all, I'd like to have the mistakes pointed out, I haven't written in such a long time, than I'm wary about these exercises, but well...I want to do this. I want to learn and I want to recover my writing pace, so, if anybody's willing to help, I'll be forever grateful. Sorry if I'm a nuisance with this; but it's important to me. Nothing is betaed. So, every single mistake is inevitable mine. So, take my hand and show me my mistakes and give me advice to improve. That's the whole point with doing this. Now I'm panicking with bellamyrose's request and zelha got me into reading VC again...and I can't find the damn scene btw Thorne and Marius XD And just b/c my flist is made of awesome *superhypermegaglomps* Tags: exercise, writings I feel like walking.: nervous Dancing: Lenny Kravitz - It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over (1991)

So...CNN has an article on vampires, which I won't be copying and pasting here, however just can go and read the whole thing here: "From Dracula to Edward, the changing face of vampires", anyways, there are a couple of things that made me LOL and want more vampires: (bold for my fave remarks) "And it doesn't hurt that all these characters just so happen to be devastatingly handsome men and women," Woerner said. "They're beautiful and mysterious."She contrasted early movie vampires with Eric Northman, the tall, Nordic bad-boy vampire from HBO's "True Blood.""You want to be scared by ['Nosferatu's'] Count Orlock, and then you want him to go away," she said. "Eric, you want to spend all night with."
Ari's Note: Oh yes, please!!
"I do see a sense of the threatening vampire coming back," he said. "I think people are tired of the 'castrated' vampire, but that tends to be the adults 18 and up rather than the students who are reading 'Twilight' in high school and consider it the apex of romantic fiction."
A/N: Finally! I mean...veggie vamps?? *rolls eyes* On the captions of some of the pics: Pic 7 - The Lost Boys- "The movies tagline?--"Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire"" A/N: Exactly! Pic 10 - Interview with the Vampire" - " Louis is the great-uncle of "Twilight's Edward Cullen - at odds with what he's become and clinging desperately to his decency and humanity" A/N: Priceless. Though I admit I'd've loved to read Louis transition from sassy to the predator Akasha describes on "Queen of the Damned" (book, not movie, thx) Pic 12 -Let the Right One In - "This chilling fil features Eli [...] it makes her both monstrous and sympathetic[...]" A/N: I SO love Eli. Because my love for vampires is like the slogan from Coppola's Dracula: "never dies" Yes...I should keep on working. Back home tonight :D Tags: news, quotes, vamps Current Location: Barranquilla I feel like walking.: predatory Dancing: H2W - Underworld OST

So, I said like a month or so ago that I'd read the nine published books from the Southern Vampire Mysteries a.k.a the story base for True Blood; and I also said I was going to write about them. I never write about books I read, well, never more than a couple of lines, but you see what happens when you just don't wanna go to bed at due time and stay late? Oh yes, I needed some light reading, believe me. So, this is what happens: First, a few things to start with: o I can totally picture the book characters with the faces of the TV ones. o I’ve found myself drawn into the stories and have enjoyed them big time. o I’ve rolled my eyes over some sex scenes. I’ve found some of them dull and non creative, others non necessary; most of the ones btw Sookie and Eric, really yummy. o I’ve liked how the names of all the books have the word “dead” in them. o The stories are very entertaining. o Yes, they’re not written in a Nobel Prize kind of way, but that’s what I think makes the books so appealing: anybody can read them and relate to the way the characters speak. Now, as for what I think of the books…well…you’ll have to read under the cut. ( What I think of the Southern Vampires Series - this is very, very, very long. You've been warned )Tags: !books_review, bill, eric, pam, sookie, southern_vampire_mysteries I feel like walking.: sleepy Dancing: Miguel Bose - Sevilla
